When such a school has been accredited it means that is has passed or surpassed a set of nationally recognized standards for its teaching process. So although many online schools do not opt to be accredited many employers will hire those nurses who have come from an accredited online nursing school than one that is not. Also what is important to remember is that by using an accredited online nursing school is that the credit is transferable if you wish to continue your education in the future.

2. NLNAC Accredited Nursing Schools
In each State they set standards for approved schools that are able to train nursing students in order for them to be eligible for the NCLEX examination for that State. Although just because the school has been approved by the State Board of Nursing does not mean it is accredited you will also need to see if it has been accredited by a National Accrediting Organization such as the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission or the American College of Nurse Midwives Division of Accreditation are just 2.
